V.P. Debate, tonight at 8.

Will you be watching?

I didn't make it but 30 minutes through the first Obama/ McCain debate. That's because I was playing this drinking game, and my god! I listened to the rest of the debate later on NPR, and I'm glad I stalled out when I did - alcohol poisoning was in my future, had I soldiered on.

Tonight will be more serene. A single drink, if any are to be had at all. It is a Thursday, after all. I'm going to be watching and waiting and hoping that Sarah Palin blows it big time, but my feeling is that the whole affair will be very carefully controlled and unremarkable.
