Letting the days go by (Let the water hold me down)

Day two of the four day weekend.

I consented to watch my neighbor's two children and her boyfriend's daughter while they went to the state Fair for a few hours yesterday.

What was I thinking?

Oh, I know what I was thinking... I was thinking she deserved a nice day out. Still, four children in my house, screaming, fighting, breaking my stuff (as this usually happens when they come over)... I dread tomorrow. It's supposed to be a short trip to the fair though, as her boyfriend is on call at work. Lord, give me strength. Or a nice day outside, so I can send them into the yard.

I had dinner with my dad and step-mom last night. They had a long-ish layover at the airport, which gave us just enough time to stop off at Chi-Chi's for a bite. I'm glad I got to see him. I wish I could see him more. Why can't they just move here? Damn it all.

Watched The Transporter yesterday, courtesy of Degs. Implausible, but awesome. Loads of bad guy ass-kicking. Hanging upside down, even. And the bike pedals! Ingenious. Dave wants the hot asian chick. I say hello, sexy Mr. Lead Actor. Don't tell my husband. ~Wink~

Tuesday is Brodie's kindergarten orientation, and Wednesday is his first full day. My little guy is growing so fast. Sigh. Should never hanve mentioned the Mario hat, though. Now we can't hear the end of it. Let this be a lesson to all you patential parents out there - keep some things a secret. Really. You'll save yourself 10 hours a day of endless questioning.

Ah, lazy Sundays. I think I might take a nap.
