And the cruel, cruel morning...

Ugh. I cleaned sooooooo much yesterday. My back was aching. But the end result is that my house is beautiful, and so are my carpets. Sparkling. And it had damn well better stay that way. Why?

Because next weekend is a 4 day weekend. That's right... Saturday through Monday, yes, but I'm taking Tuesday off too. My little boy is starting kindergarten, and Tuesday is a half day for him. School starts in earnest on Wednesday. I'm excited, and so is he. My only regret is that life in America calls for parents to work 9+ hours a day, and time with our children is severly reduced. I hate it, I think it's bullshit, but I'm paying almost $300 a month for him to go to full-day kindergarten instead of just 2 and a half hours on top of the daycare expenses for after school - so I've got to work to pay for it. And his education is absolutely important. He can write his own name now, sure, but I can't wait until he can -really- read. Then I'm going to bury him in books, ones I loved when I was little.
