Ta Da!
It's finished. You probably won't notice any differences, but I do. Super. (By the way, in case you hadn't realized... the links are them thar little squares, ya heah?)
I have been sick for too long now. I am hating it. Stupid, stupid illness. My poor boy has been even sicker, and I'm taking him to the doctor later today for confirmation of the ear infection I suspect he has. My husband is trying very hard not to catch what we have, and I think the massive amounts of penicillin he's been taking are all that's saving him right now.
California is inevitable. We'll be getting a letter detailing the offer any day now, and I expect to be there before we see the end of March. I'm slowly - slowly - coming to terms with it all. News that an old friend from Colorado is in the town we'll be moving to helps. News that the first wife is out there as well... well, it's not on my list of pros. But, in all fairness, I won't write her off until I have good reason to. I could like her. It could happen. Just because she used to be married to my man...
And now, because I missed it a few days ago, the Friday Five.
1. As a child, who was your favorite superhero/heroine? Why?
Can I answer this? There were so many at different periods in my life... I'm gonna go with Rainbow Brite. She was awesome, and she had Starlite. Rainbow Brite and the Star Stealer is a cool movie.
2. What was one thing you always wanted as a child but never got?
A pet. I tried to bring strays home, but my mom kept chasing them away. I tried to have goldfish, but my mom kept killing them, on accident - or so she said.
3. What's the furthest from home you've been?
Nassau, the Bahamas. Took a 4 day cruise after I graduated from high school with my sister, a present from my grandpa. Did you know that once you're away from an American port, you can drink on the boat at 18?
4. What's one thing you've always wanted to learn but haven't yet?
There were two things I always really wanted to do... learn to skate or play the guitar. I think I'm too old to take on the vert ramp now...
5. What are your plans for the weekend?
Why do you keep asking me this? Are you trying to match things up so that we'll "accidentally" bump into each other? Now I'm gonna stay home with the doors locked and the blinds pulled down.
