Home again, home again.
back from my little vacation jaunt home, and i miss it already. there's something very soothing about being back there. even more rewarding is watching my son wrestling in the front yard with his two cousins. i wish he had some kids to play with around here, i really do. but, in spite of all that, it's still nice to be home. it's interesting to note that i can, in fact, finish off a beer in under 10 minutes if i'm nervous, and furthermore drink more than one in the course of an evening. i also now know just how electronic darts work. brodie got to spend time sitting on the boat (which was firmly lodged in storage, due to crappy weather over the weekend) but he didn't mind a bit. there may finally be something that ranks above the "happy fish." i tried to convince him this morning that he actually sings "don't worry, go potty" in a fruitless attempt to get him motivated, but he was having none of it. damn his seemingly selective intelligence. he's playing me for a fool, and i am helpless. i also caught episode 2, which was a staggering 2 and a half hours long, and for the hour and a half in the middle, i felt every minute of it. do not go see the 9:30 showing if you like a decent night's rest. but i will say this, the last part of the movie makes the rest of it worth it, especially yoda. he was, as they say, hella cool. whooped all over count dooku, who must be made fun of behind closed doors by all the other jedi for having such a stupid last name. oh, and for those of you who haven't gotten it yet, senator palpatine is darth sidious, aka the emperor. there are people who haven't figured it out. i am stunned. then again, those people probably don't have complete star wars character sourcebooks at home. ~blushes~ i am a nerd. i embrace it. maxium charisma, baby.
bottom line, all in all it was a rewarding 4 day weekend. how was yours?
